I seriously love the Fall/Winter 2013 campaign for Rag & Bone, it just doesn't get any better than Léa Seydoux & Michael Pitt strolling aimlessly around New York City in their effortless yet cool style, shot by Glen Luchford. I'd say its rather perfect.

Saint Laurent's AW 13 campaign encompasses Cara Delevingne along with musician Cole Smith of DIIV (who also soundtracks the clip). Its all very 90s grunge in, of course, a very chic Saint Laurent way. I love the creative aspect behind the video, its a rather simple take on mixing photography, music & fashion, all in one, which I find very elegant.

|J Brand debuted their Fall/Winter 2013 Ready-to-Wear on Wednesday in NYC. Their first ever New York Fashion Week presentation was quite impressive. The high level of coherence among the collection, as well as the color scheme was done rather well.|
|Rag & Bone revealed wool tweed suits, plus bright heels. It seems as though designers are going for that pop of color more so this season. |

corduroys- ZARA/ shoes- Steve Madden/ blouse- Sugarlips/ sweater- H&M/ Jacket- Nordstrom/ sunglasses- H&M/ bag- Mango
Traditional with a contemporary twist has been the aesthetic to which my style has leaned on ever since I was younger. I love the tailored look but in a rather disheveled sort of way. The juxtaposition seems to be what keeps me amused. For instance I find that interesting printed pattern blouses, such as the one I'm wearing above, can bring about some novelty to the ever so lovely common uniform made up of the more traditional basics that, in this case, the Corduroys & Oxfords provide. This happens more often than usual during the winter season when its easier to layer up different pieces, allowing for patterns & colors to blend in. I must admit; however, that I do love wearing Corduroys during the winter because they are quite the classic piece to wear. And then of course I opt for the traditional oxford shoe to complete the look because, lets face it, Corduroys look best with Oxfords on, the combination being timeless.

-A quirky yet sophisticated collection which certainly seems contemporary but at the same time classic.
-A very elegant collection full of tailored looks. I love the simplicity of every piece. When I look at this collection I immediately think of the designers right away, their aesthetic is written all over the clothes they design (in a good way) which not many young designers can achieve. Minimalism done right!

denim- Mango/ sweater- ZARA/ coat- Calvin Klein/ boots- Steve Madden/ bag- Mango/ necklace- Anthropologie
One of the easiest ways to wear color would be to wear colored denim; however, it can be difficult finding just the right color tone- that is if you're looking for a specific color. I definitely tend to lean more towards the darker tones of denim (preferably opaque color tones). A good example of this would be the Burgundy colored denim I am wearing above (or the infamous "red wine" color as I like to call it) which had been on my mind for a while but had been a rather hard find to come across due to its rare yet irresistible color tone. Have I mentioned my slight obsession with Burgundy yet? Well... in any case, the key towards styling colored denim in general is just to keep it very minimal because that will create a good balance, essentially allowing the denim to be the statement piece that stands out without making it seem over the top.
